Slippage and Priority
Slippage and priority are tools to allow more control over your trade including the minimum receive.
Maximum Slippage
Maximum slippage protection safeguards you from unexpected price movements between transaction submission and execution. When other traders purchase tokens while your transaction is pending, you risk receiving fewer tokens than anticipated due to price increases.
By setting a maximum slippage threshold, you ensure your transaction will fail rather than execute at an unfavorable rate. This prevents you from accidentally paying significantly more than intended or receiving substantially fewer tokens than expected.
The Minimum Receive amount is calculated as follows:
Priority Fee
Priority fee is an extra amount you pay to process your transaction faster on Solana. When the network is busy, transactions with higher priority fees get processed first. Setting a higher priority fee helps ensure your trade executes quickly, especially during high-demand periods when many people are trading simultaneously.
